For your final project, you will create a social media campaign proposal for a sport organization of your choice (with instructor approval). The social media campaign should support the organization’s strategic plan, while clearly identifying the specific goal, objectives, strategies and tactics for the campaign that is being developed.
The following components must be included:
Goal: the broad purpose for the campaign
Audience: key publics that are most crucial to the success of the campaign’s goal
Objectives: what will be measured as a key progress indicator (KPI) that a campaign goal is being met (should be SMART – strategic, measurable, achievable, relevant, and timely)
Strategies: the ways or approach in which a campaign will effectively work toward reaching objectives
Tactics: specific activities and tasks that must be completed for a strategy to be fulfilled
Key messages: the core concept, or elevator pitch, used to develop other communication pieces
Message map: a way to extrapolate how to communicate in meaningful ways with each audience
Budget: what the campaign will cost to implement
Evaluation: the process of gathering data in order to assess specific points of measurement in a campaign with the goal of providing meaningful analysis of the activities and outcomes
