In chapter 7 the author describes 3 beliefs about the soul’s immaterial existence.

In 6 sentences, explain why your belief is the true belief about the existence of the soul. Be sure to cite 2 reliable sources.
Then, respond this example that is another beliefs about the soul’s immaterial existence. It is “Christianity”. Respond in 3 sentences using a source–this is not about opinions!
Example: “Christianity is the true belief about the existence of the soul mainly because of Jesus Christ. While Jesus Christ was a Prophet of God, he also claimed to be his only son, which he proved by making miracles happen before people’s eyes. As Christians, we can say that Jesus was not lying because of his resurrection following his death, which only God has the power to do, why would God raise Jesus if he was telling lies about God? Jesus said he was the only way to God the Father, through Jesus is how the soul reaches the ultimate paradise. “Buddha didn’t rise from the dead, nor did Confucius or Zoroaster. Muhammad didn’t fulfill any detailed prophecies. Alexander the Great didn’t raise the dead or heal the sick” (Slick). When comparing Jesus to the leaders of other religions there are major differences that can not be explained regarding what Jesus was able to do and what others were not. “… a person does not have to become a mystic in order ot acheive final salvation” (Barnes 145). By not needing to become a mystic, it proves that the Christian beliefs of the soul are inclusive to most showing that Christianity is the tru belief of the soul for all.

A six-page case study paper based on a specific challenge in your ministry, applying the DMin Model of Theological Reflection: Now you are ready to apply the DMin Model of Theological Reflection to a specific issue or challenge in your own ministry setting. Using the feedback on your Fish or Cut Bait paper, write 6 pages on your specific issue, following the steps listed in the assignment for Week 7.
To recap: identify a single situation in your ministry that requires a decision.
Examine the context, define and analyze the issue, and explore relevant theological issues, using the tools of theology.
Finally, decide on a brief ministry strategy to meet this challenge that can be justified by your theological analysis.
The paper should be structured as follows:
1) ministry context — one page to a page and a half;
2) theological analysis with the three parts: Biblical, theological heritage, and culture) — three to four pages; and
3) ministry implications — one page.
In addition to class material, you may also cite other appropriate sources, such as commentaries, historical works, or writings from your faith tradition. The cover sheet and the bibliography are in addition to the 6-page requirement. (Please see the two case study samples in this section for further reference.)
Note: This paper is to be written in accord with the DMin Writing Requirements. See Writing Requirements page and the documents in Writing Guidelines in the Resources section.

Introduction
Your introduction should gain the interest of your reader and reveal the importance of the text you have studied. The final sentence of your first or second paragraph should state the thesis, or main argument, that you are arguing throughout your paper. For this paper, your thesis answers the question, “How should Romans 1:16–17 shape the mission of the church today?” The rest of your paper must support your answer to this question. Your paper will begin with a brief overview of the historical and literary setting of Romans 1:16–17. You will then use the framework of call, equip, and encourage to contextualize Romans 1:16–17 to the mission of the church today.
