InstructionsThis unit has explored different views of water usage and treatment and conveyed different perspectives on food and agriculture.
For this assignment, pretend that you are on the staff of a member of the U.S. House of Representatives. The House member has asked you to create a PowerPoint presentation illustrating the various sides of issues related to water, food, and agriculture. The House member is not asking for your opinion. Rather, she is asking you to present opposing views so that she can be better educated on the issues. Your presentation should meet the following criteria:
express different views of water usage and treatment and
convey different perspectives on food and agriculture.
Feel free to be creative. You are allowed to utilize PowerPoint’s features to create charts and graphics. You are not required to include slide notes.
Your PowerPoint presentation must be a minimum of 10 slides in length, not counting the title slide and references slide (which are required).
You should utilize at least two sources at a minimum, one of which can be your textbook and one of which should be a peer-reviewed article from the CSU Online Library. Please adhere to APA Style when creating citations and references for this assignment.

T‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‌‍‍he objective of this assignment is to write a 3-4 page persuasive essay that identifies an environmental issue of personal concern and provides one or more solutions designed to address it. The persuasive essay is the basis of your group poster assignment so you will work collaboratively with your poster group to develop an “umbrella” group poster theme and a narrower set of interrelated individual research topics. This assignment includes both a rough draft, which will be peer-reviewed, and a final draft. Each persuasive essay should include the following elements: A comprehensive description of your issue that includes its geographic location(s), as well as its direct and indirect causes. An evidence-based argument that supports why your issue merits attention and concern. Your argument should consider each of the following dimensions of your issue: (1) social, (2) economic, and (3) environmental. One or more solutions designed to address your issue (e.g., political, cultural, personal). 4. Structural Requirements You must upload your paper as a word document. Papers should be 3-4 pages in length, with spacing, 1″ margins, Times New Roman font, and 11 pt font size. References and images are not included in the 4-page limit. As concise writing is a valuable skill, we will not read beyond the fourth page. Include introductory and concluding paragraphs that clearly identify the issue you are researching and the main points of your essay. Essay should draw on at least five different drafted sources, two of which must be from scholarly peer-reviewed books or journal articles. Include 2-3 images th‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‌‍‍at either explain the dimensions of your issue or support your arguments. Include image captions and citations for each image. Images should be embedded in the texts where they are relevant, not listed at the end of the paper. Essay should be well-written, spell-checked, proof-read, and concise. All sources must be properly cited using APA Style both in the text and in a works cited section so that readers can find and evaluate your sources. n‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‌‍‍ this lecture, we learned about environmental governance and the fact that there are a lot of challenges in governing the environment. There is no one single solution for environmental governance; rather, there are many different options we can use depending on the situation. In Part 3 of this lecture series, we learned about ecological citizenship and how it can help us address environmental issues on a global scale. In the assigned reading for this lecture, Dobson (2007) argues that promoting changes in environmental attitudes, such as cultivating a sense of environmental citizenship in an early age, would lead to more long-lasting changes toward‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‌‍‍s sustainable development, comparing to just changing behaviors through fiscal (dis)incentives. Prepare to Post Reflect: What is your opinion? In this Discussion: Please write a short response to the Dobson reading. Please answer the following questions in your response: Do you agree or disagree with Dobson’s argument? Please provide an example to support your position. What do you think about the concept “environmental citizenship”? What new perspectives has this concept brought to you? Please make an argument for why promoting environmental citizenship can help address environmental issues (such as climate change) on a global‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‌‍‍ scale.
