Begin your report with an introductory paragraph telling the reader who performed, where and when, and what kind of ensemble was featured at the concert. What kind of ensemble performed and did you recognize all of the instruments? What was the instrumentation? These are only suggestions.
Follow the introductory paragraph with detailed descriptions of at least 3 pieces keeping in mind you must write 500 words. MAKE SURE TO STATE THE NAME OF EACH PIECE. Tell the reader what you found to be most striking or important about the piece. Talk about how well the performers presented the music. Were there any featured instruments? Maybe discuss one or more of the improvised solos. What was your favorite song if you had one and why? Try and incorporate concepts and terms you have learned in class if you can. These are only suggestions, there are many other questions you can ask yourself when you write the paper.
End your report with a concluding paragraph. What were your overall impressions of the concert? Would you attend a concert like this in person? How well do you think the musicians performed? These are only suggestions to give you ideas.
